This show-stopper, model, host, actor and a mother of two has been an inspiration for our young girls. she made them realise that marriage does not necessarily mean end of your career, rather it is a new and more fruitfull begining. This top model shares her secrets with Revolope.
1.Why you chose modelling , tell us a little about your career backgroud?
N. Well education wise i have done my O levels then after A levels i had six months free time on my hands so i worked as a teacher in a school then one of my friend, who was doing internship in an advertising agency, told me to work with a compaign (Lakhani silk mills), they wanted a new face for their compaign so she asked me that why dont i work with them and at that time i was hardly 20 years old, and was getting 25000 rupees for that one compaign only and i was like woaw and i started modelling from there then i did BDS while working as a model.
2.Were you interested in doing BDS when started getting fame in fashion field?
N. Ya definitely because my family had always emphasis on studies first.Specially my mother was very strict about my studies and my teachers too who knew that i am in fashion field so they used to view me very critically and thanks to God that i was always a good student.
3.Was it difficult for you to convince your parents to let you enter in this field as our society is very conservative of female models?
N. well ya off course my mother was very hesitate about this field.she always kept an eye on me that to whom im working with, what exactly i am going to do, so there was always check and balance from my mother's side.Beside this, it was my luck that i met with good people who were like a family and very supportive like Arshad sahab and his brother Sohail sahab then i met with Imran Qureshi and Fariha Altaf so i met with big designers and worked for big budget.
4.Any difficulties during this career?
N. No, so far no difficulties i enjoyed my studies, modelling, shoots but ya in another way i had restrictions on me of my own that i won't wear short cloths it was like total no no for me.
5.Do you wish to work as a dentist later?
N. Ya why not if i will not be having any work the i will definitely go for the dentistry (smile).
6.How do you manage this all with children and family?
N.You have to set priorities first, that is why i do not do acting that much because it takes lots of time somtimes full day therefore i prefer more to modelling as it is not time consuming but ya somtimes it gets difficult like last year i was shooting three plays at a time and i was very much busy in my stuff but some how i manage all like i do not work at weekends so i manage my home stuff then and thanks God that my husband is very supportive.

N. Capricon.
8.Favourite actress?
N.kareena kapoor.
9.Fashion icon?
N.Angelina jolie.
10.What kinds of outfits do you like to wear occasionally and casually?
N.well, casually i wear jeans and t-shirts like now i am wearing and goes like this to markets, to pick my kids from school, here and there but if we talk about occasionally then it depends on the function, like for weddings i prefer eastern cloths, like sari's but if it is friends get together or any party then i can wear capri's, jeans, tunic or whatever in fashion.
11.Who is your favourite designer?
N. There are many but i reaaly like Ayesha Ashfahani then i like Sonia Batla, Rizwan Baig, HSY, Umer Saeed and Nomi.
12.Are you brand conscious?
N.Not at all! i just see the design and style of whatever i buy whether its branded or not like the shirt im wearing now its from zamzama and its not branded.But i am very conscious about the design of my sun glasses, i have tried so many glasses but ray-ban's suited me so i can spend money on my glasses.
13.How do you stay fit?what is your diet plan? share your secret.
N.well, i would say then diet and excercise is very important.i try not to eat a lot. i take a glass of milk in breakfast, in lunch i take a (roti) because i get so hungry at lunch time while at night i try to eat half (roti) and in between i take green tea, nuts but i try not to eat junk food, beside this i excercise three days a week in gym, i do classes of platis twice a week and once boxing.
14.Do you take body massage?
N. yes, on sundays, we have a lady massager who is coming for a long time, she is bassically our family massager who is coming from my mom days.but ya when i feel that i need to treat myself then i go for a special massage.
15.Do you prefer to use multivitamins?
N. Ya! i take multivatamins.i am using ultra mega gold (multivitamins) and seven seas for a very long time and im very conscious about it, not because of that i have poor diet but this is generally because when you are a medical student you get to know about these body requirements and specially for a women who faces lots of problems ahead so i think every women should be conscious about it.
16.How do you take care of your hairs?
N. I apply oil on my hairs atleast once a week and conditioner to keep them smooth all the time.
17.when and how did you met with your life partner?
N.well, i met my husband when i was 24 years old and was doing my final year of BDS.He is actually a stock broker, i just knew him in some social gatherings that who he was but we were not friends then when i wanted to invest some money in stock exchange so one of my friend gave me Atif's number to contact him for the investments, so then i talked to him and thats how we got in love and got married.
18.Do false rumors and controversies upset you?
N. Not at all! i don't really care about that.
19.what do you enjoy the most acting, modelling or hosting?
N. I like acting a lot because you get different experiences in this and you don't have to do the same thing all the time.
20. If you get a chance to work in pakistan film industry what would be your answer?
N. well, it depends that what kind of film is and who is going to produce like in our industry, i think there is Shoaib Mansoor who is a classy film maker and i would definitly go for his film.Beside this im not comfortable with dancing, singing and going around trees (smile) but ya if it is a decent role then i would must think about that.
21.Do you want your children to come in this field?
N. I would not mind definitly and why not if i am in this field then it is ok what ever they want to do i would never stop them but ya i will be very strict about their studies. 22.Favourite co-model?
N. Vaneeza Ahmed and Iraj Manzoor. Me and vini have a very good chemistry that last year, we were walking on ramp without rehearsal and were like a mirror for each other, it was amazing that we did all the turnings, steps same.
23.Tell us about fetish? target market? any outlet of it?
N. Fetish was basically an idea in partnership with a shoe manufacturer. i think every body is promoting lawn or cloths and there are very few who are promoting shoes so i tried to do something different. there were both the heels and flats, they were chunky and with diamonties, not so formal or so casual, but they were in between because we arranged them for eid but now we are getting demands of too and formal and casual shoes and Insha Allah i have next exhibition in lahore on 3rd or forth of november. price range were between 1500 to 3000 rupees. it was for every body and yes we are planning of its outlet very soon.
24.What are your future plans?
N. Well, there are some plans but i am doing many things now like fetish exhibitions, acting ,modelling and etc so there is much time for the new once.
25.What do you think about teens fashion?
N.well i can see now a days teens have become very conscious about trendy fashion and hair cuts and styles, they are more into wearing capri's and short t-shirts which i think in a way is not good it shoul be little bit controlled.
26.What is your message to young girls who want to join modelling.
N. Ya why not, we need new talent and new faces so must come in this field.but try to take a proper plateform.
